The Road To Palastine Nu Jeru December 19th Tribal and I will featuring
in Paterson, NJ. My home town. The place where the movies based on
real life stories like "Lean On Me' and The Hurricane" were
filmed. Our children went to Eastside High. Made
famous because of it's absolute inefficiency and Joe Clark. We've done so much and lost/gained so
much in this town. Always trying to keep the kids in mind. They were
and still are in danger constantly just by living in Paterson. One
of the most politically corrupt cities in America. As a family we made history in Paterson
and represented a positive image in deeds. As activists we brought a city together
with advanced communications media and empowered it's citizens by
helping to create over 50 small businesses. We helped form educational
organizations and sponsored non profit efforts to protect our children.
We remembered our slain and honored our lost. There came a point where we realized
a genocide was happening in Paterson. We left to secure our own children
who had already been forced to go to school with security guards as
protection against kidnapping threats. The mayor was arrested and
convicted. The sheriff also, and the housing authority had been under
investigation for embezzlement,. This and more all in the same short
period surrounding 911. Our kids were being shot in the streets by
the very people sworn to protect them with no justice in sight. Find more videos like this on The New
Word Order We've had accolades and awards to many
to even mention. All of them in agreement. That as Spoken Word artists
we have something to say worth hearing and it IS making a difference
in peoples lives. On December 19th, 2009 we return to our
home with our message. With our "poetry" for the first time
in a decade. To Kamal Imani, Sister Amina1389 and
The New Africa Cultural Center in Paterson NJ. We thank you for making
this personal dream come true. |
